Mahal 
The Mahal rugs are linked to the area of Mahallat near Arak in west-central Iran. Mahal rugs are distinctively woven in curvilinear as well as geometric patterns. Mahal designs have proved such an enduring success that they are now made in many other carpet producing centers in the Orient today.
